As the end of this year is getting closer we are summing up all of it.
With the birth of our little baby, Szaffi, and her amazing development we are getting near to the end of our most exciting and also most tiring year ever. It wasn't the only aspect of our life though, there were numerous challenges and unforgettable moments at work as well. We have still a couple of sessions to show you, the following one has a special place in our heart. We know Ola by sight for long, but I wasn't sure about this on that lazy afternoon, when we set out for a walk with Szaffi. Our little lady was fast asleep so we had time to talk about the important matters in life, when a Mama with her two children came across. They were a real phenomena and I left my eye on them involuntarily. Their style, their aura... It took only a second and I had this feeling under my skin that wow, I really wish we could photograph them. A second slips away quickly, we have passed by but I was still staring at them, and that Mama smiled back at me. I felt ashamed as it's not very polite to stare at someone but Gabor left me no time to think about it as he was poking me, saying: hey Szandra, we know them! Oh, if only it was true...! But where do we know them from? Gabor was already running after them and it turned out that on an easy Sunday morning carboot sale we bought some clothes for Szaffi from this family. Well, that's how much I can rely on my memory when it comes to faces. So Gabor took the lead and we were laughing together at the corner of the street. A couple of weeks had to pass before we had the chance to have a session with them but it was worth the wait. We had only a short hour to take the pictures and every minute of it was inspiring for us. Ola's aura, the honesty of the kids, their raw energy and untameable curiosity swept us off our feet. Ola was apologising for the children running around everywhere and we could not be happier to get so many spontaneous moments. We are really grateful for letting us do this session and we truly hope that next year will bring us some more wonderful afternoons together. With love, Szandra

The October is a special month for us, because both of us have our birthdays in these days. In this year Sandra got a special maternity session :) We've never done a shooting for ourselves before! We met with Dori Toke, who is a gorgeous make up artist. We spent a funny afternoon together, she created Sandra's beautiful make up, and after she went home, we took a long walk in a huge park in Boscombe.- just the two of us. The weather was lovely, the colours were brilliant, so we took some pictures together. It's a nice memory for us, so please let us to show you some of our favourites :) Sandra and Gabor You can find us on Facebook as Kids in Light Photography and Dori's page is here. We highly recommend her if you need a make up for any occasion <3
Working as creative people have plenty of benefits. E.g. we always meet other fantastic people, who are talented, doing some creative, unusual thing for others. That's how we met Sisi, the beautiful food sculptor. We couldn't believe what she can do from a simple watermelon! So yesterday we visited them to take a mini session about her latest creation. We spent a very nice afternoon there, and let us to show you some gorgeous things (including their dog: Benji!) What can an artist do without her faithful assistants? :) Look at these eyes!! We adore them <3 We can't wait the next occasion to work together!
You can find her works as Sisi Food Sculptor and us as Kids in Light Photography :) |
