Welcome Baby - Oscar          Bournemouth (Dorset)9/11/2016 As photographers, we can be present in lots of situations carefully planned, beautifully set up. Details of these can fascinate and inspire us and they give an opportunity to capture wonderful, stylish pictures. However, there is a field of life that is all about raw energy, instincts and naked feelings. This is the miracle of giving life and being born. As a doula I know the course of birth from very close, all the physical and emotional changes that come with it. And as a photographer, I believe there is no other event in life that is more honest, more unrepeatable than the arrival of a new baby. Our Welcome Baby package is made exactly for capturing these precious moments. Oscar was only 1,5-days-"old" when we visited them in their own home. Ditke, Jim, Zacky: Congratulations for little Oscar, and it was a great pleasure for us to see you in this sensitive and wonderful period in your family-life! We wish you all the best and hope to see you soon, Szandra, Gabor and Szaffi AuthorKids in Light Photography, 2016

Storytelling is such an overly popular word these days in photography.
Although we try to avoid clichés and try to think out of the box, we really do feel that the definition of this word describes our work in so many ways. For us, the story starts when the first e-mail arrives from a couple or a family, saying they chose us to capture an important chapter of their life. Even after years we feel those butterflies in our stomachs and we are excited to get to know them better, to clear the details, to choose the location. And then finally, we meet them. At that point something happens. Something, that is hard to put into words - as if all of it was happening in a parallel universe. It may be trust, it may be honesty that creates a connection, but no matter where life takes us, it surely brings us back together at some point. This was the case with Viki and her family. We have met them for the first time when their baby, Sammy was still in his mummy's bump. They have come to Bournemouth with their daughter, Sophie so that, as a highlight of a beautiful weekend, they can have family portraits taken. We took a walk, talked and laughed a lot — that part wasn't hard at all as the whole family is cheerful, full of laughter and good vibes.:) Then days and weeks passed, we were all busy with our own family lives, but we heard from each other time to time. The next time we saw them baby Sammy was 6 weeks old. We spent a relaxed, care-free morning at their place, in their own home. This time there was no need to get to know each other, nor to warm up to one an other, our presence was natural for them and it feels really good to work in an atmosphere like that. Relaxed, heartfelt portraits can be taken this way, we can capture genuine moments without poses or sophisticated expressions. This is what we hope for every time when doing a family photo session. Because these pictures will be the ones in your family album that can recall smells, giggles, that will bring back a familiar grin, stir up real emotions in their perfectly imperfect way. For us, this is the real genre of storytelling. We are looking forward to your story. :) The good thing in being a photographer couple is that when we spend the weekend with our friends, we can take photos to relax, and when we work we take photos for an other reason :)
We know Ivett and Kornel from the time when they were expecting their daughter. When we first met in person, it was their maternity photoshoot with us. Then, we were there when Lili was born. We have spent many afternoons and weekends together since then. Sometimes we take pictures of them, too :) but this weekend we have been to such a breathtaking place and enjoyed so many wonderful moments, that we felt we have to share this experience with you. We can't wait until the next time we see them and of course until the next time we can shoot at Durdle Door or some other magical, yet unknown location. If you are planning your next autumnal family trip, don't forget to tell us — it’s going to make a wonderful album under your Christmas tree. Tiny cups and pretty dresses, home made cookies and polite sentences to each other - nice memory for all of us :) And the best thing is that I was invited to a real baby shower like that! We spent few hours in a cozy tea house, only girls, had a nice chat, fine sweets, warm tea - and all the blessings for Ildi's baby girl <3 Thank you for having me, I can't wait to have a little walk together with the little ones! Sandra Find us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/kidsinlight/) and on Instagram (www.instagram.com/kidsinlight) as well ;)
One of our favourite experience to meet lovely people.
Ivett and Kornel - they are a fantastic couple! Their little girl made so clever decision when she chose them as parents <3 Thank you for the wonderful day, we can't wait to hug your tiny little baby and all of you, as a beautiful family. With lots of love, Sandra, Gabor and Szaffi (of course :)) Dear Szaffi, your 3rd month with us was such a busy month. We had plenty of new situations, spent wonderful time with friends, probably we found your husband :D and the most important: your uncle Bence was with us for 2 and a half weeks. We're so proud of you little girl, you are just gorgeous <3 Happy 3 month-day for you ;) Mum and Dad The first moment with Bence was speechless.... This is the latest photo of you (made by phone, 15 minutes ago).
You look like a wise Angel in every single moment. And now, you are sleeping on my lap. This is one of my favourite feeling in our life. Love you, Mummy It was a pleasure for us to meet this family. They took a long journey to Bournemouth for this session. It's always a lovely thing to working with people like them. We spent around 6 hours together on a beautiful Sunday. First we met in a hotel room, what mean us the perfect venue for the first photos. After the lots of fun Henry had something to eat, and finally.... :) In the afternoon we took a long walk in a wonderful park and on the beach. So we spent a wonderful day together, and we want to say a huge thank you for it.
We hope to see you soon, until that we wish you all the best :) With lots of love, Sandra and Gabor Kids in Light Photography When we got the request from Zsuzsi, we became excited.
Her mother-in-law had a special birthday, and the family gave her this session as a gift. It took time to find the best date and place for all of us, but we think that the result speaks for itself :) We would like to say a huge thank you for the day we spent together we really enjoyed it and we can't wait to see you soon! We wish you all the best, Sandra and Gabor |
